DJ Phynba was born and raised in Ghana. He moved to London, England, in his early teens. He began his career in the early 90s, djing at every house party, in South London. DJ Phynba was the man that was making it happen at house parties.
In the mid 90s, DJ Phynba teamed up with a London based Hip Hop group: Rhyme Wreckers. He toured the UK with them, playing at talent shows and other major events.
As an ambitious and hard working individual, DJ Phynba was not satisfied just being a regular house party DJ; he wanted to perfect his craft. He started learning how to scratch, break beats, and other various turntable techniques. He got into the underground DJ battle scene, and won a few battles. His victories earned him the respect of major DJs, including BBC Radio One host, Tim Westwood. He later invited DJ Phynba as a guest DJ on his radio show.
Since the mid 90’s DJ Phynba has played at several clubs in the UK, Paris, and other European cities.
