If you have been searching for a reason to be in Lagos during Easter, here is a solid one. It has been made official, the first Lagos carnival will debut during Easter and consists of Miss Lagos Carnival Beauty Pageant & Gala Dinner, (Saturday 3rd April 2010) Children and adult’s carnival, (From 10am, Monday 5th April 2010).
There would be processions through major streets on Lagos Island, Ikoyi and Victoria Island would end at Tafawa Balewa Square in a grand display.
The beauty pageant will hold at City Mall with the winner of the beauty pageant going home with N2.5 million and a brand new Kia Rio car, while the 1st runner up will receive N1million and the second runner up , N750, 000.00.
