Roc Nations Wale released a semi professional video for his song “My Sweetie”  last week, to accompany the release of his album single “Pretty Girls” Video which also premiered last week.

How many of you remember hearing this song at birthday parties and wedding receptions back in the day?

I guess this was in response to all the negative backlash from Nigerians complaining  that Wale wasn’t repping Nigeria enough, are we satisfied or do we want him walking red carpets in full regalia  looking like a red cap chief?

I met up with Wale not too long ago, and was able to grab a couple of words from him about his recent success

ChiChi “First off congrats on the debut album “Attention Deficit” whats it feel like to finally start to see all of your hard work pay off?”

Wale “Feels great , just motivates me to keep at it and show em what i came to prove”

ChiChi ” Tell me what prompted you to use the original ”My Sweetie” as the cover for your single?

Wale “Let people know that im not just from DC, i gotta rep my true home, you feel me right?”

ChiChi “Any parting words?”

Wale ” Keep supporting, it makes a world of a difference, so thankful for all my success and your support!”
