Omawumi becomes most sough after female artiste!

This is what dreams are made of. The niger-deltan Omawumi Megbele was a novice to the music industry three years ago not until Idols came calling at the claws of west africa. Being one to grab opportunities when they present iteselves, omawumi auditioned and that began her musical revolution.
Omawumi was the first idols contestant to make it to the Top 10, gathered so much fans due to her addictive stage performances. She didnt win the competition but didnt do badly too ending as Ist runner up. You need so much talent to get that far, its as cool as winning and she proved even more after Idols.
She went on and release two singles “In the music” and “miss my baby” produced by Cobhams Asuquo. In the music became a monstrous hit and it eventually won her two awards at the prestigous Hip Hop Awards (best female vocal and Next rated act). This announced her to those who had been sleeping on her immense talent. She went on to release her much awaited album much later which she titled, “wonder woman”, and that is also fying off the shelves like no man’s business.
Fast forward to today, Omawumi isnt that reality show star who is depending on the fame of the show to survive, she has stamped her name on the stage of the music industry and many have even termed her as the ultimate naija diva since Onyeka Onwenu and Christy Igbokwe.
Highly talented, down to earth and bubbly, omawumi is on the biggest gigs you can think of at the moment. From Opa William’s Night of a thousand laughter, Women in entertainment night in Uk, Kennis music easter fiester etc. Collaborations like Ovation red carol’s Christmas in lagos (all stars), Maga no need pay, Super eagles Power of naija (with tuface and Cobhams), Inspire africa all stars etc, the babe is relentless and has proven that you need not win the show to be the star.
While show organisers are still caught in the stereotype of booking the male artistes for the majr gigs, Omawumi still manages to make their list mostimes as the only female.
