Genevieve Nnaji shunned AMAA!
The 6th edition of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) may have come and gone but not without its fair share of controversies trailing it. One of such is the absence of Nollywood’s biggest star, Genevieve Nnaji.
Tongues started wagging on how AMAA could imagine itself holding without the presence of the A-list stars. If you watch the Oscars, you would see so many stars, even the Q-lists, but the A-listers arent always found wanting.
But people in the know say AMAA did try inviting Genevieve and that she would have been present if only she didnt start making ridicoulous requests. We learnt that the actress stated her terms and condition which must be met before she can attend the awards which included sending in a Helicopter to pick her to the awards.
This we learnt didnt go down well with Peace Anyiam Osigwe, the organizer of the awards who felt insulted by the demands.
I am a huge Genny fan but i honestly dont know what to make out of this. If she truly did make such request, then its outrageous, if she didnt, …..well, lets just hope she didnt.

I love genny a lot and reli don't see anytin wrong in making such demands(she has paid her dues abeg).peace sud hv tried to settle tins properly.I don't blame genny when traveling to dat venue always has a funny ending.(Ms okereke and others can testify) just a helicopter and peace is fussing(weytin dem use carry vivica and the other hollywood stars wey de come b4?jus asking oh.peace come and answer and stop making our finest star look bad.

This idiot does not even know that she is risking her life doing that.Just a few months ago she was begging for AMAA archive tapes to prove to Oprah that she won the award and deserved to be profiled on Oprah. Time now to pay back a good deed with another one she is talking rubbish.
