Dbanj Is Going To Play Fela on Broadway
By now I hope most of you have been to see the Broadway play “Fela” where the life and legacy of the African icon Fela is portrayed. The two actors currently playing Fela are Kevin Mambo and Sahr Ngaujah, they are both non Nigerian.
Close sources to the casts have informed us that a lot of Nigerians and Nigerian organizations are upset and have been complaining that the actors playing Fela are non Nigerians. So therefore, the producers have been auditioning Nigerian actors to play Fela on Broadway also.
And guess who just auditioned for the role? Yes yours and truly Mr. Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo a.k.a Dbanj. Yes we all know that Dbanj is good artist and an entertainner, but can he play Fela? Dbanj is energetic and very talented, but Broadway play is a different ball game so it would be interesting to see.
So what do you think, only Nigerians should play Fela?

Does he have acting talent to begin with? Being able to burn up the stage with performances is a different ball game to playing a character convincing especially like one of Fela.
I love Dbanj but he is not and actor and should not play Fela
