Anything is Possible and Everything is YumiPuffable” a quote artist YumiPuff lives
by. Born in Japan and raised in the United States, Yumi known as
YumiPuff has combined her love for Japanese tradition and American
culture to develop a sound of her own.


Her introduction to music was at an early age watching her grandfather teach his students the JapaneseBamboo Flute at his music school in Japan. Her thirst to be involved in
music blossomed and never died as she started learning to play instruments at age 3. First the piano at the Yamaha Piano School, then the flute, piccolo, and has also taught herself to play the guitar. “I love playing and hearing live instruments because it makes me feel good” she says.

Having worked with DJ WhooKid (50 Cents DJ and Producer), IceDrake, (producer for Ludacris), Precision (producer for platinum selling production team TrackMasterz; Nas, Jay Z, Brittany Spears…), Freddie L. (former in house producer for Murder
Inc), D. Goode (writer Day 26, John Legend, Ghostface Killah, and Cassie), and Chris Leggio (producer for Mary J), this work has allowed Yumi to grow as an artist, songwriter, and producer.
