Wande Coal shines at HHWA 2010,as Skuki wins Next Rated!

It was power,prestige and pride at the 2010 Hip Hop World Awards which held at the Exhibition Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites yesterday, 29th May 2010.

Mo’hits singing sensation, Wande Coal was the big winner of the night carting home five awards (Album of the year, Artiste of the year, Best pop single, Best R n B/pop Album, Revelation of the year).

The duo of Skuki also went home with the most coveted “Next Rated” award which came with a brand new car. The late DAGRIN won the Best rap album and it was an emotional moment as his parents came on stage to pick his headie, and his father spat some of his lines and the crowd went wild. A tribute was done to him with artistes like Kel, Waje, Skales, Omawumi, sage, Dark Poet, YQ doing some of his songs. Performers that night also included Goldie, Jesse Jags, Kefee, Pype, Artquake, Obiwon, D’Prince, Wande Coal.
