Veteran Actress, Toun Oni dies at 70!
It was with great shock that we recieved the death of Veteran Nigerian actress, dancer and a vocalist, Toun Oni. The actress passed away Wednesday morning while being rushed to the hospital.
Her son Toyin Oni told a new publication that the actress had complained about not feeling well. “She fell very weak so we had to rush her to the St Paul’s Hospital, Ebute-Metta, but she passed away before we arrived there,” he said.
Fondly known as Mama T by fans, the late Toun Oni will be fondly remembered by television audiences for roles in long running soap operas like ‘Checkmate’ and ‘Fuji House of Commotion’. Her body is being kept at the St Paul’s Hospital, Ebute Metta, Lagos. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced by the family.
