Our reigning Miss Nigerian Independence, Feyisola Ogunfemi, has been up to a lot since she won her title last October. During that time, she has become very active in her community, and become an Activities Coordinator at her church, Christ Apostolic Church, the President of the NYC chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers and been very involved at Accenture, where she works as a Technology Consultant.
She is very passionate about giving back to her Nigerian community as well, so she is working on a scholarship banquet which will be held on Saturday, September 11th 2010, in honor of youth in the community who aspire to use their education to give back to Nigeria, as well as Nigerians in the community who are already doing so. She will be awarding two scholarships this evening using the proceeds from tickets and donations. She will also enlist help from dynamic speakers to encourage those in attendance to focus on entrepreneurship and technology as the keys to wealth building in Nigeria.
It will be a very inspiring and informative evening of events, and she is very grateful for all of the support and excitement around the event. For more information, on the event, ticketing, donations or the scholarship applications please visit http://missnigerianindependence0910.com
