General Pype-Nigeria Love (Forever Green)

A-cue began professional rap, singing and song writing in 2009. He was encouraged by his Uncle B sala. A-cue is well known in the Nigerian community in the Maryland, DC, Baltimore in the USA as well as Nigeria.

Currently, A-cue is joining forces with other key Nigerian artists but just finished with the track “the Reason why” and “Without you” featuring Pactu. Just dropped his hit single Migboro (Shake d streets)

A-cue performs mostly Hip Hop, R&B,Dance Hall,Reggae. His style of rap and singing is unique in its own way. A-cue is in third year in Towson University studying computer information Systems. He is currently based in Maryland U.S.A.

UDR:What does music mean to you in 2010?
Fr3style: An expression of in-born passion. An educational, recreational &motivational tool for the modern human mind. A hobby turned career.

UDR:What would you say is your biggest accomplishment?
Fr3style: Single-handedly maintaining my unique-rap style and consistent following amidst an industry bedeviled with rookies and wannabes infected with the bandwagon virus, right from my career genesis with the now defunct TRYBESMEN till date, even through my 3-year hiatus. In one word, my biggest accomplishment has got to be my ever-increasing fan-base. No fans, no celebrities.

UDR:What is your number one career changed since you’ve started music
Fr3style: My successful transition from a songwriter/performer to an acoustic engineer/producer to an entertainment consultant.

UDR: What would you change in Nigerian Hip Hop?
Fr3style: Unhealthy competition/beef as this is what makes it appear immature when compared with other genres.

UDR: Ariwo is a big track and generating huge buzz, how did you come up with the concept?
Fr3style: It was jointly brought about by Brace (who communicated the street slangs in Fuji genre), BJ, (the producer who also infused live percussions and talking drums to achieve that traditional feel) and my humble self (whose unique rap-style, rapid-fire delivery and cutting-edge lyrics asserted it as a veteran’s comeback!)

UDR: The song and video of Ariwo is a good balance between traditional Nigerian music and Hip Hop, why?
Fr3style: This is deliberately because in an age where even countries like India showcase and export their culture through movies and music, the universal hip-hop medium fused with the rich Yoruba culture expressed in the choice of instrumentation was adequately buttressed through the costuming, choreography and retro-live-band setting of the video.

UDR:What is your relationship with Make Somm Noize Entertainment?
Fr3style: It’s my entertainment company, and I’m its Chief Executive Officer. A brain-child of mine, it’s built on about 10years of experience in the Nigerian entertainment industry. A closely knit family incorporating a record label with various partners, we are grounded in conceptualization, production and consultancy and give priority to the upcoming/emerging/fast-rising artistes and talents.

UDR: What is your favorite food?
Fr3style: African… Pounded yam & afang. Ekpang-ku-kwo.

UDR:Can you cook?
Fr3style: yeah a bit.

UDR: Who is your favorite musician of all time?
Fr3style: international –Andre3000 (Outkast) African –Fela Anikulapo Kuti (RIP)

UDR: What is your favorite movie?
Fr3style: None

UDR: What is your favorite part of the female body?
Fr3style: Lips

UDR: The best time you have ever had?
Fr3style: Every morning when I wake up… The gift of life.

UDR: What can we expect from you in 2011?
Fr3style: A very unique all-female mix-tape, featuring a handful of divas and fem-cees in a most intriguing blend of collaborations and mash-ups. As well as the debut release of a MAKE SOMM NOIZ artist… possibly BRACE.

UDR: Any words for your fans in the US?
Fr3style: You constitute an integral part of the Nigerian entertainment industry, so I say to each and every one of you….. Keep buying/downloading, keep listening, and keep criticizing!

The album which consists of her breakout single “If You Want Me” and the follow up monster hit single “Ko ma Roll” will contain 13 other tracks, bringing the total number of items on the album to 15.

Mo’Cheddah, who has just been awarded the ‘Most Promising Act to Watch’ this year at the just concluded NEA awards in New York City, says that her debut album is a reflection of her personal music style;
she says, “……..it is the culmination of 7 years of preparation and was heavily influenced by my experiences in music over that period.”

The album is primarily an Afro-Pop album.

The talented young lady has also been nominated for the ‘Most Gifted Female Video’ at the Channel O Music Video Awards 2010 and ‘Discovery of the Year’ at the Soundcity Video Music Awards 2010.

Meet the 4th and Inchez members

What makes 4th and Inchez so unique is the diversity of each group members style and how it translates into their music. These different sounds can be detected in their music, and can be described as East Coast meets the Dirty South with an ethnic wrinkle.

That is one of the things that makes 4th and Inchez sound so unique. The trio doesn’t limit their sound to what would be typically thought of as Hip Hop/Rap, sounds that you hear from 4th and Inchez can be described as “Urban Pop”. 4th and Inchez music has been played on 97.9 KBXX, 90.9 KTSU, and 90.3 and have performed at several live shows in Houston, Dallas, & Beaumont, TX. 4th and Inchez have opened for many artist such as Rick Ross, Talib Kweli, Fabolous, Dorrough, Gucci Mane and many more.

4th and Inchez has produced 2 mix tapes entitled No Fly Zone, & Lag-City and also their latest EP entitled Point of View. Three young men who have experienced three distinct ways of life (lived in the East, moved and grew accustomed to the ways of Houston, Texas) but all have backgrounds and influences stemming from Africa.
