First of all, I am happy that Dagrin has not been forgotten….but does this movie really showcase his life/struggles/break through and death? I guess we are going to find out soon.

Was Y.Q, his long time friend portrayed in the movie? Hopefully the script is based on the facts and reality of the great rapper.
Here is the preview to THE DAGRIN STORY due for release in April 2011. The movie features Pa Kasumu, Jaywon, Doris Simeon and Trbsyon Dudukoko.

This is the press release from the production company handling the movie:

Stingomania, the producer of the biopic on late rapper Dagrin, released the official trailer of the movie this morning after director, Daniel Ademinokan concluded shooting of the movie around 2am. The accident scene where the rapper lost his life was the last scene to be shot; the emotional-laden scene was shot around Mushin and Oregun. Post production works will commence from next week in a bid to meet the April deadline set by Ope Banwo, the CEO of Stingomania.
